GETEC's "FOSSIL to GREEN" product portfolio includes various models for the modernization of central heating systems. The key factor in the development of these new solutions is the introduction of the CO2 price in accordance with the Fuel Emission Trading Act (BEHG) from 2021. This affects oil heating systems particularly strongly. The installation of such systems is prohibited from 2026 for climate protection reasons. If the resulting additional costs for an exemplary 65m² apartment in 2021 are around €75 per year, these costs will amount to around €150 per year in 2025.

 

Property owners can benefit from attractive subsidies for energy-efficient refurbishment of oil-fired heating systems, which the government is aiming for.
