THE CUSTOMISED GETEC ENERGY SOLUTION
THE CHALLENGE
GETEC is responsible for the modernization and partial renewal of the district heating supply for around 42,000 people and other connected facilities. This requires parallel work at three different locations.
THE GOAL
The project seeks to improve the energy infrastructure of the city of Rozzano in a long-term and sustainable manner. The aim is to lower costs, improve supply and significantly reduce CO2 emissions. The sheer scope of the district heating project requires a strong and experienced partner like GETEC.
OUR SOLUTION
To this end, GETEC will invest in the modernization of thermal power plants, district heating networks and the installation of heat pumps and storage systems. For the district heating network, it is planned to refurbish and optimize the thermal power plants so that a capacity of over 77 MWth can be provided in a decentralized manner from three locations. In addition to new high-efficiency boilers, the plants envisage the installation of combined heat and power systems with a total capacity of around 12 MWel, heat pumps and storage systems. Modernization of the heating networks and further expansion with new municipal and private connections are also planned. The three plants will not only improve production and distribution efficiency, but also significantly increase the environmental friendliness of the supply, bringing added value to the neighborhoods served.
