GETEC donates 5,000 euros to Magdeburg Children's Hospice
Magdeburg, December 20, 2023
GETEC has once again supported the Magdeburg Children's Hospice with a donation of 5,000 euros. The donation check was handed over during a meeting between Group CEO Pierre-Alain Graf and the director of the children's hospice, Franziska Höppner, at GETEC in Magdeburg.
The Magdeburg Children's Hospice provides loving and professional care for children with life-shortening illnesses and accompanies parents and siblings on their journey of grief. The hospice must raise five percent of the cost of palliative medical and nursing care per child per day through donations. In addition, funds are needed to provide counseling, bereavement services and support for the families and siblings of seriously ill children and teens.
"Providing loving care to children and their families on this difficult journey is an incredibly important task that cannot be overstated. We are proud to continue our support for this valuable social commitment," said GETEC Group CEO Pierre-Alain Graf at the handover.
"We are very grateful for GETEC's support of the Children's Hospice over the years. Thanks to their donations, we were able to expand the living area for parents, set up a music and art therapy room, and now also offer our weekend for mothers of seriously ill children, where they are the focus of an all-round pampering program," explained hospice director Franziska Höppner.
GETEC's donation is therefore not only a sign of appreciation for the tireless team at the children's hospice, but also a contribution to ensuring the high quality of care and to supporting the children and their families in difficult times.
